About Rockstar Health

Rockstar Health is a nonprofit-owned mobility company redesigning how rehabilitation technology is built, distributed, and accessed.

For decades, that world has run on dealer networks, proprietary software, and reimbursement rules that leave users with little control over the equipment they depend on every day. Routine adjustments mean dealer appointments. Repairs can take weeks or months. Basic accessibility features get treated as optional upgrades. Too often, mobility comes down to insurance approval instead of actual need.

Rockstar Health was founded to challenge that structure. We believe:

• Wheelchair users should have real control over their own equipment
• Personalization should not require unnecessary gatekeeping
• Repairs should be fast and accessible, not a months-long wait
• Warranties should not punish people for self-advocacy
• A mobility company should do more than maximize profit

We are not trying to rebrand what already exists. The structure itself has to be different, which is why the company is built the way it is.

Ryleigh Newman is the founder and CEO of Rockstar Health, and a power wheelchair user himself. The company came out of years of watching the gap between what wheelchair users need and what the system actually delivers.

He graduated from the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University with a major in Biological and Physical Sciences and concentrations in biochemistry and data science.

His research focuses on hereditary neuromuscular disease, genomics, and rare disease discovery. His honors thesis, Uncovering a Novel Neuromuscular Disorder, investigates a multigenerational hereditary neuropathy using whole genome sequencing and comparative genetic analysis.
